My name is Carla Hordyk. My husband Richard and I are founding members of Living Hope and have been delighted to serve Jesus in this local community of believers since 1994. I have been involved in various volunteer roles including Worship Team, Overseers, and Small Group Ministry. Most of my career I have spent in a corporate setting, working my way into executive administration. In the latter 6 months of my corporate role, I began to hear the Lord calling me out, but had no idea how it would transpire. Long story short, the company I had worked for ended up restructuring, and my position came to a close shortly after which the office of Associate Pastor of Discipleship & Administration became available here. Having attended Columbia Bible College as a young adult, my schooling came flooding back, and my passion for sharing God’s love through His Word grew. As administrator, I enjoy organizing and supporting from behind the scenes, and as an associate pastor, I enjoy building relationships, resourcing our Young Adults and Small Groups, preaching, and co-teaching classes in baptism and membership. Richard and I have been blessed with 2 daughters, Alyssa and Kelsey, who are young adults growing in their relationship with Christ. I enjoy playing piano/guitar, entertaining family, friends (and new friends!), trying out recipes, watching old “Me TV” type shows and reading.
